Chuanlei Zhang received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), in 2006. From 2000 to 2010, he worked as a Software Manager and a Senior Software Engineer at Motorola, Beijing. From September 2010 to October 2013, he held a post-doctoral position at the Communication and Signal Processing Applications Laboratory (CASPAL), Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada. Since October 2013, he has been with the College of Artificial Intelligence at Tianjin University of Science and Technology, where he is currently a Full Professor.
He has published over 120 papers and has led or participated in more than 40 research projects. Prof. Zhang has served in numerous roles at international conferences, including Program Committee Co-Chair of the 20th, 21st, and 22nd International Conference on Intelligent Computing (ICIC 2024, ICIC 2025, ICIC 2026), Program Committee Co-Chair of the 20th ICIC, and General Co-Chair of the IEEE 6th International Conference on Signal Processing and Machine Learning. He has served as a reviewer and an Associate Editor for several research journals over the years, including IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, Sensors, Frontiers in Plant Science, and Neurocomputing.
